17 May

Sometimes, all a child needs is a little encouragement, a reminder that someone out there believes in them. On May 17th, 2025, we were grateful to be part of that reminder.

Thanks to the warm support of Love Nepal UK, we successfully distributed essential school materials to 12 bright and determined students as part of our Sponsorship Material Distribution Program – 1st Lot of 2025.

A Special Day in Rajbash

The main event was held at the DCWC Community Hospital in Rajbash, Kavre, where 10 students arrived with shy smiles and hopeful eyes. Some walked for hours just to reach the venue. They left with schoolbags filled with notebooks, pencils, and supplies — and a renewed excitement for the classroom.

Two more students, living further away, received their materials from our base in Thamel, Kathmandu, ensuring that distance didn’t stand in the way of support.

Supporting Education and Beyond

We believe education is more than just books and exams. That’s why, along with school supplies, we’ve started placing a small but important emphasis on personal hygiene and health education. In communities where resources are limited, these basic lessons can make a life-changing difference. Through casual conversations and friendly guidance during distribution, we shared simple practices on staying clean and healthy ; small steps that help keep students safe, confident, and in school.

Where They Came From

These students came from 9 schools across 2 districts , each with a unique story, but united by a desire to learn:

From Kavre:

  • Shree Shova Bhagwati English Secondary School -1 student

  • Sirjanshil Janata Secondary School -1 student

  • Shree Prabha Secondary School -1 student

  • Shree Khanda Devi Secondary School - 2 students

  • Shree Tarlamo Basic School - 2 students

  • Shree Tanshi Bal Bikash Basic School -1 student

  • Shree Kiranodaya Basic School - 2 students

From Ramechhap:

  • Shree Darga Basic School -1 student

  • Shree Antarastriya Yuwa Barsa Secondary School -1 student

The Bigger Picture

What we handed out were supplies but what we gave was encouragement. These materials say to each child, “We see you. We believe in you.” And when paired with the tools to look after their own well-being, they carry more than just books they carry confidence and care into their future.

With Gratitude

To Love Nepal UK, thank you. Your generosity continues to change in places that need it most. And to the children, who teach us resilience with every smile ,we’ll keep walking this journey with you.

Because education is not just about the mind. It’s also about dignity, health, and giving every child the chance to grow up strong and proud.
